Voice lessons available for students of all ages and levels of ability and experience.

Helen is a Certified Estill Figure Proficiency coach, and very experienced singing teacher accessing a diverse range of approaches to the voice. Helen is passionate about the tools the Estill method offers in singing, speaking and vocal health. Lessons are tailored to each individual student in terms of repertoire suited to their voice, range and personal taste. Students will be guided to develop a consistent vocal, postural and breathing technique to ensure they access the joy of the craft of singing, with confidence and developing mastery. The art or interpretation of vocal performance is also a focus of lessons for those interested in performing.

Piano lessons from Classical to Contemporary. Helen invites students of all ages who are wishing to learn strong foundational techniques while exploring creativity, repertoire across a range of genres, and musical independence. Thus providing students with evidence based playing techniques, focussed on students’ strengths and interests.

Helen is a Classically trained pianist and improviser, and caters for all interests including: Classical, Jazz, Popular, free improvisation and songwriting / composition.

Lesson fees start at $45 per half hour.

1. Discover the Power Your Voice
Step into a transformative journey through sound, spirit, and song. These small group (up to 8 participants) courses of 6 - 8 weeks are for participants wishing to explore the beauty and joy of singing together, through some joyful and novelty repertoire, improve their foundational singing technique, aural listening skills and general technique to ‘hold a tune and sing in harmony.

Courses are open for adults or teens

Leave inspired and empowered, with practical tools and the confidence to continue your vocal journey beyond.

Course fees start at $25 per session. Discounts are available for bulk bookings.

2. Chants, Rounds and Soundscapes

A vibrant, fun and creative event designed to stretch participants’ vocal expression into improvisation, creativity and musical listening with each other.

For singers of all levels, bring your courage, humour and deep listening as you are guided to make vocal music that is uplifting, transporting, and at times, hilarious!

Repertoire includes rounds of varying genres and themes, original material co-created on the day by participants, breathing and vocal techniques, accompanied by dynamic percussion.

Workshop fees vary, dependent on time, venue and concept.

Group improvisation is meditative,

enthralling,

and risky!

Acting on impulse with each musical idea that emerges from your nervous system and intuition as you play your chosen instrument, in a shared space with other musicians.

Listening and willingness are key.

Be guided by experienced teacher and improviser Helen, to discover connection and deep listening through improvised structures and ideas, in a 60 minute session.

A space and a place for musicians of all levels to come together and explore real time creativity and musical play!
